Simple steps like the following can help us all cut carbon emissions, project our planets resources, be greener and save money this Christmas:
- Recycle your tree after Christmas. If you buying a real tree then either contact your local council to pick it up or take it down to the local household recycling centre to be composted.
- Buy second hand goods to give to people off popular auction sites such as Ebay or even charity shops, to help save some of the planets precious resources.
- Cut your carbon emissions by walking or riding a bike on shorter journeys rather than driving your car.
- If you’re getting a new mobile phone this Christmas then recycle your old one. Go to Sell Old Mobile Phone for more details.
- If you’re getting a new mp3 player or iPod under the tree this Christmas then dispose of the old one correctly at recycling sites such as Money4urMobile or Mobile Cash Monster
- Send electronic Christmas cards instead of paper ones, they can be just as personal and will help to save paper.
Have a great Christmas but make sure you spare a thought for the environment by using the above tips and many of your own.
