Starbucks have recently launched their mobile payment app for the Blackberry, iPhone and iPod Touch in all their US stores.

The new app will allow users to pay for anything they purchase using their mobile phone as the payment method. To make a purchase Starbuck’s customers will be able to hold their mobile device in front of a scanner on the counter which will scan the barcode on their mobile app.

Vice President of Starbuck’s Card and Brand Loyalty, Brandy Brewer said “Today, one in five Starbucks transactions is made using a Starbucks Card and mobile payment will extend the way our customers experience and use their Starbucks Card.”.
