Robovie is a 30 cm cute desk top robot that has recently been unvieled by Japan’s Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute (ATR). The best think about Robovie is that you can place an iPod Touch in his tummy in order to control the robot.

ATR says that the robot is controlled via WiFi, Bluetooth or by touching the screen on the iPod Touch, the robot then uses information gathered from the iPod by means of gestures.

Other features on Robovie include a 3.4 Mega Pixel camera, a mono speaker and two microphones.

Maybe he should have an iPhone instead of an iPod Touch so he can make calls for you too…
