Finnish mobile phone manufacturer Nokia has recently increased its competition with Apple by gaining extra traffic through social media networks.

Nokia is relying less on search engines to get users to their website and more on social media sites such as Facebook, Bebo and Tagged.

The latest results were published in a report by Experian Hitwise and showed that Nokia’s site had a 5% rise in August up to a 26% rise in September this year.

Apple’s iPhone is still the dominant product in the smartphone market but Nokia is back in the competition following the website statistics and the recent release of their N8 handset.
