Apple have recently announced that the iPhone 4 has become their fastest selling device after 1.7 million units were purchased in just 3 days of it being released.

Most shops in the UK and around the world have now sold out of the new handset and many who have recently ordered one will have to wait for as long as 3 weeks. Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple said “We apologise to those customers who were turned away because we did not have enough supply.”

The iPhone 4 is the first iPhone to launch on all UK networks as well as being sold in some electrical shops and supermarkets. Recent research has found that over three quarters of sales has been to previous Apple customers.
