New Can Recycling App Launched for the iPhone in the US
A new recycling app has been launched for the iPhone in the USA to help boost the amount of used drink cans that are being recycled.
The new app called Aluminate which has been developed by Alcoa will help users find their nearest recycling centres, count how many cans they recycle and work out how much money they can earn.
Director of recycling for Alcoa said “This application is the most comprehensive available for anyone who wants to recycle aluminum cans. It’s a cool way to keep track of the cans you recycle and the cash you’re earning while you take positive steps to protect the environment.”
Aluminate is available to download on the iPhone by US users by visiting the Apple app store and searching for keyword ‘Aluminate.’ There are no plans at this time to launch the app in the UK.
