Paul Shin Devine a Manager at Apple Asia was arrested on Friday on suspicion of transmitting confidential Apple information to iPod and iPhone accessory suppliers. In return for the information he allegedly received kickbacks of up to as much as $1 million.

The information allegedly shared by Devine included products specs, details of competitors bids and sales forecasts.

Steve Dowling Spokesman for Apple said, “We have zero tolerance for dishonest behaviour inside or outside the company.”

Devine has been remanded in custody until his court case. Apple are also suing Devine in a separate civil case for the alleged kickback amount.
