According to a recent survey carried out by Nielsen Apple’s iPad has come top in the US on 6-12 year old’s Christmas wish lists.

In the survey to find out what kids wanted for their Christmas presents the iPad received 31% of the votes followed by computers and the iPod Touch which both got 29%.

The report stated: “Given the continued pressure on consumer spending, it is difficult to know how robust a holiday season this will be for tech devices, but this survey suggests the electronics aisle will be heavily travelled this season.”

Other products in the top 10 kid’s wish lists included the Playstation 3, Nintendo DS, mobile phones, e-reader and the X-box 360.
